The only way to slowly get peace in our life is to start reducing our desires to get this and that item and to go to this place and that place. Due to desires, we are filled with anxiety. Getting something we desired leads to attachments which further increases the anxiety and adds fuel to our burning desires. The fact is that nothing in the material world can ever satisfy us.
The more we get, the more we want. The more we get involved, the more we get into problems. The more we give, the more they will ask. They will never be satisfied.
CC Madhya 19.149
“Because a devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa is desireless, he is peaceful. Fruitive workers desire material enjoyment, jñānīs desire liberation, and yogīs desire material opulence; therefore they are all lusty and cannot be peaceful.
