In this article, we shall look at false teachings which are circulated by the ignorant and deceiving people. Ask for proof. Only then, you will see the truth. If you don’t ask for proof, you will be deceived.

1  Did Radha marry Krishna?

Yes. Lord Krishna did marry Radha.

Online on many sites and in some movies it is wrongly stated that Radha did not marry Krishna. This is 100% false.

We should always ask for scriptural references on any statements made by anyone, otherwise you will be mislead and given false information.

In the Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Krsna-Janma-Khanda, chapter 15 is titled “Marriage of Radha and Krsna” (part 1 – page 107). This scripture clearly mentions Brahma performed the marriage ceremony of Radha and Krishna (part 1 – page 94, 695, part 2 – page 115). I have personally visited the place where the marriage took place (in Vrindavan).

2  Did Abhimanyu (also known as Ayan) marry Radha?

No.

Online on many sites it is wrongly stated that Radha married Abhimanyu. This is 100% false.

One version of explanation from the Brahma Vaivarta Purana is that Ayan married a shadow of Radha, and not the real Radha (Prakrti-Khanda chapter 49, page 417).

Another version of the explanation is that during one of the pastimes. when Brahma took away all the cows and cowherd boys to Gokula for a year (a moment for Brahma based on his time), at that time Krishna had Himself expanded into all the cows and cowherd boys and was living in each and every home of the cowherd boys in Vrindavan . In that expansion Krishna had become Ayan and he married Radha. So it was actually Krishna as Ayan who married Radha and not the original human Ayan. When the pastime of Brahma was over, and all the original cowherd boys returned , the human Ayan also returned. There was never any relation between the human Ayan and Radha. (Shrimad-Bhagavatam 10.13, Brahma Vimohana pastime – the bewilderment of Brahma, as explained by the learned saints of Vrindavan)
