A pure devotee lives for the benefit of others and not himself, he is concerned for the welfare and well being of all living beings. This is the reason for the following  prayer of Prahlada Maharaja (a pure devotee) in the Shrimad Bhagavatam:

“May there be good fortune throughout the universe, and may all envious persons be pacified. May all living entities become calm by practicing bhakti-yoga, for by accepting devotional service they will think of each other’s welfare. Therefore let us all engage in the service of the supreme transcendence, Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and always remain absorbed in thought of Him.” (Shrimad-Bhagavatam 5.18.9)

“The more we are dedicated to the deliverance of living beings from this rotten material existence, the more our own position of liberation becomes assured. This is why we see that the most advanced devotees are those who are actively engaged as much as possible in giving Krishna consciousness to others.” (Swami Srila Prabhupada)

A Vaishnava is a devotee of Lord Krishna who works for the benefit of others. A yogi is one who does everything for his own personal gain. Become a Vaishnava and not a yogi.
