Many people follow a particular religion but they don’t realize that their religion contradicts their core beliefs. The purpose of this writing is to show what is actually taught by the various religions based on their scriptures. It is a fact that many people from all religions are blindly following many beliefs without ever seeing what is actually stated in the scriptures of the religion they follow. This article shows only the truth with quotes from the scriptures of the various religions. If one does not like what is stated in the scriptures, please take it up with the compiler of the scripture(s).

1. Is this our first life?

If one believes that this is not our first life, we have existed before this life, then they should not follow Christianity and Islam, because both these religions teach that this is our first life, we never existed before this life.

“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrew 9:27)

“Does not man remember that We created him [and] before this, he was non existent?” (Quran 19.67)

The Bhagavad-Gita teaches that we (souls) never die, the body dies but the soul is eternal. Just as we exist now in this body, we existed before in another body and after this life, we will continue to exist in another body.

“As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, similarly, the soul accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 2.22)

“For one who has taken his birth, death is certain; and for one who is dead, birth is certain. Therefore, in the unavoidable discharge of your duty, you should not lament.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 2.27)

2. Belief in Ghosts

If you believe in ghosts then they you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because both these religions teach that this is the only life, we are the body, and so after death, there can be no ghosts. Based on the Bible and Quran, at death, we remain dead until someday in the future which they call the day of judgement. The existence of ghosts proves this knowledge in these scripture to be false, because the existence of ghosts proves that we do not die when the body is finished and also that we are not this body. A ghost is someone who’s body is dead, but they are seen in the same body or heard, even though they were buried and the body is destroyed due to decay.

The existence of ghosts proves that we don’t cease to exist when the body dies. We are not this body and this is not the only life.

The Bhagavad-Gita and other Vedic scriptures, give a very clear understanding of everything. Ghosts are real and they are basically people who are too much attached to their life before death. At death, generally the soul moves onto another body, but these people do not get a new material body, they remain in a ghostly body, which is not a material body but a gross body (no matter) and they try to enjoy as if they were still alive, but cannot and so they cause a disturbance to others. This is a punishment for too much attachment. There are also other reasons for becoming ghosts, The ghosts are temporary, after some time, the soul is released from ghostly existence and enters into the womb of a mother for his next material body and life.

The reason why the Vedic followers cremate the dead, is so that the soul is forced to completely forget his current body and life, because cremation instantly destroys the body and forces the soul to forget and move onto the next body, which the person gets exactly according to what they deserve, based on the actions taken by the person in their lives (karma).

When the body is not cremated (it’s buried), this increases the chances of the soul remaining near the burial ground or near it’s former family members and home, due to attachment to the body and previous life. Eventually the soul is forced to move onto it’s next body and life.

3. Belief in the Eternality of the Soul

If you believe that the soul is eternal, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because both these religions teach that the soul is not eternal. They teach that the soul was created along with this body, this is our first life, we never existed before this life.

Based on Hebrew 9:27, we die once. If we only die once, then this means we only live once, we never existed before this life, thus the soul is not eternal. There are many other verses in the Bible which proves that based on the Bible, the soul is not eternal.

“The soul who sins will die..” (Ezekiel 18.4)

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matt 10:28)

“That during the battle with Bani Al-Mustaliq they (Muslims) captured some females and intended to have sexual relation with them without impregnating them. So they asked the Prophet about coitus interrupt us. The Prophet said, “It is better that you should not do it [no coitus interrupt], for Allah has written whom He is going to create till the Day of Resurrection.” Qaza’a said, “I heard Abu Sa`id saying that the Prophet said, ‘No soul is ordained to be created but Allah will create it.”

(Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 7409, Book 97, Hadith 38. Vol. 9, Book 93, Hadith 506)

In this Hadith, the followers of Muhammad have captured some women and are asking him if they should have sex with them and release the semen into them or just have sex and not inject them (pull out before releasing). The Prophet authorizes his men to have sex with the captured women and inject them with their semen, because the creation of souls is ordained by Allah and so by having sex, if the women become pregnant, then it’s the will of Allah. This Hadith is off course advocating sex slavery and there are many verses in the Koran and Hadith which advocate sex slavery.

It is clear from this and many other verses from the Hadith and Koran that the soul is created for the first time with this body and we never existed before this life. Thus the soul is not eternal, based on the Islamic teaching.

The Bhagavad-Gita and other Vedic scriptures give a very clear explanation of everything. We (the soul) are eternal.

“For the soul there is never birth nor death. Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 2.20)

“The soul can never be cut into pieces by any weapon, nor can he be burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind. This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, all-pervading, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 2.23-24)

4. Are we this bag of dirt and stool?

If you believe that we are not this body, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because these religions teach that we are this body, which is full of all kinds of chemicals, stool, urine, flesh, and blood. They teach that when we die, the body is buried and on the day of judgement, this same body will rise from the grave. Thus based on these religions, we are this bag of dirt (this body).

“You shall indeed be raised up after death..” (Koran 11:7)

Based on the Koran and Bible, we are this body, based on their teachings, the dead body will be raised on day of resurrection.

The Bhagavad-Gita very clearly teaches that we are the eternal soul and not the temporary body (Bhagavad-Gita 2.20).

5. This is our only body?

If one believes that this is not the only body we have had or will have, thus one believes in reincarnation. Then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because both these religions teach that this is the only body we have had and on the day of judgement, we will rise from the grave in this body. That’s why they bury the dead, thinking that the body will rise from the grave on the day of judgment.

“He said: ‘Therein you shall live, and therein you shall die, and from it you shall be brought out (i.e.resurrected).’ ” (Koran 7:25)

The word resurrected is used many times in the Koran, Hadith and the Bible. This means the body we live in now will be resurrected, this is the Islamic and Christian teaching.

The Bhagavad-Gita teaches that just as we exist now in this body, we existed before in another body and after this life, we will continue to exist in another body (Bhagavad-Gita 2.22). This is reincarnation, transmigration of the soul from one body to another.

Common sense also tells us that after the body is buried, it decays and there is noway it’s going to rise from the grave. These religions teach that the body will rise from the grave and eternally go to heaven. Some people may not want to live eternally in their current body and when is the day of judgment? Absolutely no idea. These teachings pose many issues.

The Vedic scriptures teach that the day of judgement is immediately at death and every single soul (you too), will eventually go back to the spiritual creation with a brand new body that is completely beautiful, full of knowledge, eternal, and live in complete bliss/love, with no trace of misery. Lord Krishna does not send anyone to eternal hell, because He is truly the Lord of all beings, and He loves everyone.

“I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to him.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.29)

6. God is Merciful and Forgiving?

If one believes that God is merciful and forgiving then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because these religions teach that we only get one chance, only one life, and on the day of judgment, we are either sent to hell eternally or heaven eternally. If someone is atheistic or does not follow these religions then they are sent to hell for ever, thus God cannot be called merciful nor forgiving, based on their teachings.

Only the Bhagavad-Gita teaches that we get unlimited chances and not just one. Lord Krishna does not send anyone to hell eternally, Even the most sinful person will eventually get liberation. This is because Lord Krishna is truly most merciful and forgiving.

Lord Krishna is for justice and fairness, He judges us based on the actions (deeds) we take in life and not just a religious label. Those who do good to others, are rewarded and those who bad are punished.

“One who does good, My friend, is never overcome by evil.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 6.40)

“One who is not envious but who is a kind friend to all living entities,. – he is very dear to Me.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 12.13-14)

We should be kind to living beings, the followers of Lord Krishna are vegetarian, because we consider the animals as our brothers and sisters, and thus we don’t eat them. Lord Krishna wants justice for all living beings, and not just the humans. This is because Lord Krishna is most merciful and loving to all living beings.

“The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Fearlessness; purification of one’s existence; cultivation of spiritual knowledge; charity; self-control; performance of sacrifice; study of the Vedas; austerity; simplicity; nonviolence; truthfulness; freedom from anger; renunciation; tranquillity; aversion to faultfinding; compassion for all living entities; freedom from covetousness; gentleness; modesty; steady determination; vigor; forgiveness; fortitude; cleanliness; and freedom from envy and from the passion for honor – these transcendental qualities, O son of Bharata, belong to godly men endowed with divine nature.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 16.1-3)

Those who have the above listed qualities are blessed and those who don’t, can develop them and become blessed. Lord Krishna is most merciful, forgiving, and loving to all living beings.

7. Animals are made for killing and eating?

Those who believe that animals have the right to exist are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because these religions teach that animals are just food for humans. The worlds biggest slaughter house is in Saudi Arabia and the world’s biggest killing spree takes place during the main Islamic festival of Haj, when millions of cows, goats, camels, sheep and other animals are killed in the name of their God.

“And the Budn (cows, oxen, or camels driven to be offered as sacrifices by the pilgrims at the sanctuary of Makkah.) We have made for you as among the Symbols of Allah, therein you have much good. So mention the Name of Allah over them when they are drawn up in lines (for sacrifice). Then, when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat thereof, and feed the beggar who does not ask (men), and the beggar who asks (men). Thus have We made them subject to you that you may be grateful.” (Koran 22:36)

The truly educated are those who see with equal vision, all living beings. Only the animals see other animals as food.

“The humble sages, by virtue of true knowledge, see with equal vision a learned and gentle brahmaṇa, a cow, an elephant, a dog and a dog-eater [outcaste].” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 5.18)

Lord Krishna will accept a leaf, flower, fruit, or water, and not the flesh and blood of animals.

“If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, I will accept it.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.26)

There are many who cut the throat of animals and bleed them to death, in the name of their God. They think that God becomes pleased by killing. Lord Krishna is not that kind of a God, He wants the animals to exist alongside the humans. The followers of Lord Krishna are pure vegetarians, they do not kill nor eat animals.

8. A Spiritual Master can have sex with children?

Those who believe the spiritual master must not have sex with children are not in agreement with the teachings of Islam.

“That the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5133 Book 67, Hadith 69)

“I used to play with dolls when I was with the Messenger of Allah, and he used to bring my friends to me to play with me.” (Sahih Vol. 3, Book 9, Hadith 1982)

The Prophet of Islam lived to 63, thus based on the above. He married the 6 year old Aisha when he was 51 and started to have sex with her when she was 9 and he was 54.

9. A Spiritual Master can have many sex partners?

Those who believe the spiritual master must not be lusty are not in agreement with the teachings of Islam.

“The Prophet (ﷺ) used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 5068)

“Ibn `Abbas asked me, “Are you married?” I replied, “No.” He said, “Marry, for the best person of this (Muslim) nation (i.e., Muhammad) of all other Muslims, had the largest number of wives.” “. (Sahih al-Bukhari 5069)

The spiritual master of Islam, had the most wives.

Based on the Vedic teachings, a spiritual master must not be lusty.

“A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind’s demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world.” (Nectar of Instruction 1)

10. God is invisible, unknown, unseen?

If you believes that God has to be real, seen, proven, and known, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because these religions do not describe God. They believe God is invisible, unseen, and unknown. Based on their teachings, nobody has seen God.

“Whoever claims that Muhammad saw his Lord. Then he has uttered one the worst lies against Allah, Allah says: No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision.. ” (Vol 1, Book 44, Hadith 3068)

It is very clear from the above Hadith that even the founder of Islam did not see God, thus God is not described and unknown, based on Islam.

The above and many other similar Hadiths (actions of the Prophet), very clearly show why for the founder of Islam and his followers, God will be unknown.

God is not cheap, He does not appear to anyone. Only the most pious souls who are sincerely serving God and have a very strong desire to see Him, can know and see God, face to Face.

God is eternal and the human beings have exited for billions of years at the very least, so why should He remain unknown, and unseen?

“My dear Arjuna, only by undivided devotional service can I be understood as I am, standing before you, and can thus be seen directly. Only in this way can you enter into the mysteries of My understanding.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagaavd-Gita 11.54)

We cannot see God with our blunt eyes, only if He wishes, then can we see Him, not otherwise. God is not our servant that He will appear on our command, no. We are the servant and God is the Master, and only when the Master is satisfied that the servant is qualified, then He will be known and Seen, face to Face.

“But you cannot see Me with your present eyes. Therefore I give to you divine eyes by which you can behold My mystic opulence.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 11.8)

For those who are engaged in wars, violence, hatred, stealing, lust, slavery, rape, animal killing, materialism. Such persons can never know God, what to speak of seeing Him. For them, God will be invisible and unknown.

For those whose eyes and mind is closed. God will be invisible, unseen, and unknown. Those who follow the blind, will also become blinded.

“I am never manifest to the foolish and unintelligent.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 7.25)

God is One, and thus He only describes Himself in one place, the Vedic scriptures. Only Lord Krishna has declared and proves Himself as the Supreme Person, this is because only He is God. All other so-called Gods are just names in books, completely unknown.

“Those who are devotees of other gods and who worship them with faith actually worship only Me, O son of Kuntī, but they do so in a wrong way. I am the only enjoyer and master of all sacrifices. Therefore, those who do not recognize My true transcendental nature fall down.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.23-24)

Based on the oldest documents on the planet, the Vedic scriptures, God is very much real, seen, proven, and completely known. God has also been seen by millions of His followers.

“Fools deride Me when I descend in the human form. They do not know My transcendental nature as the Supreme Lord of all that be.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.11)

Lord Krishna has appeared more than 18,000 times in His original form, and millions of times in His other forms, right here on this planet, and each and every time, He proved that He was God. He appeared 5000 years in His original form and very clearly proved He was God. The foolish will keep looking for God or will follow a name in a book as God and not the real proven Lord Krishna. The Bhagavad-Gita is not a one off scripture like the Bible and Koran, it has already been spoken millions of times in millions of universes, by the same Person, Lord Krishna.

How brilliant does God look in a particular universal form?

“If hundreds of thousands of suns were to rise at once into the sky, their radiance might resemble the effulgence of the Supreme Person in that universal form.” (Bhagavad-Gita 11.12)

Only Lord Krishna has declared Himself and proved that He is the one and only God.

“The whole cosmic order is under Me. Under My will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under My will it is annihilated at the end.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.8)

“Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being – moving or nonmoving – that can exist without Me.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.39)

“But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.42)

11. Human Slavery and Sex Slavery?

If one believe that making humans into slaves is wrong, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because the scriptures of both these religions advocate slavery and they have a history of making humans into slaves.

The Christians have a history of making humans into slaves and the Bible clearly advocates it.

“Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.” (Ephesians 6:5)

The Koran not only advocates slavery but also sex slavery (rape).

“And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess..” (Quran 4:24)

“O Prophet! We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have given their dowers; and those ladies whom your right hands possess (from the prisoners of war) whom Allah has assigned to you.” (Quran 33:50)

The above 2 verses basically means that Muslim men can have sex with their wives and also with those they capture in wars. This means making women into sex slaves (rape), because no women would voluntarily have sex and especially with those who have killed her husband in war. This also means adultery, because the women and/or the Muslim men are married. The captive women also includes the daughters of married women. In war or outside war, why should women be taken captive and raped? The United nations have laws which prohibit civilians from being taken captive in wars and making civilians into sex slaves is completely against international laws. The Quran orders women to be taken captive and made into sex slaves (Quran 33:50, 4:24).

The founder of Islam himself took women captive and enjoyed them.

“Muhammad selected Safiyyah because of her beauty, made her his wife and gave a banquet at the wedding; then he had sex with Saffiyah at Sa`d-AsSahba..” (Sahih Bukhari 4.52.143)

Safiyyah was only 17 when she was taken captive and made into a sex slave. After her husband was killed by the Prophet (57 at the time).

The followers of the Vedic religion, have NEVER made humans into slaves. The vast Vedic scriptures do not have any verses which advocate slavery. Slavery is considered barbaric based on the Vedic knowledge. Sex slavery is considered completely barbaric by Vedic standards.

12. Believe in Universal Brotherhood?

If you believes that all living beings are brothers and sisters, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Islam.

The Quran very clearly preaches that only the Muslims are brothers with each other. The non-Muslims are not considered their brothers, they are known as disbelievers. As for the animals, they are just food for the Muslims.

“The Believers are but a single Brotherhood.” (Quran 49:10)

“Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves.” (Koran 48:29)

The Bible teaches that all humans are brothers, and the animals are just food for humans. There is no consideration for the plants by the Bible and the Quran.

The Bhagavad-Gita and other Vedic scriptures teach that all living entities are brothers and sisters. Thus all humans, all animals, and all plants are brothers and sisters. The living entities are the souls within bodies and not the bodies.

“It should be understood that all species of life, O son of Kunti, are made possible by birth in this material nature, and that I am the seed-giving father.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 14.4)

Above, God is stating that we are all brothers and sisters, because He is the father of us all.

“Having obtained real knowledge from a self-realized soul, you will never fall again into such illusion, for by this knowledge you will see that all living beings are but part of the Supreme, or, in other words, that they are Mine.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 4.35)

Above, God is stating that we are all His family members.

13. Belief in freedom of thought, speech, questioning, and religion?

If you believes in freedom of thought, speech, ability to question, and religion, then you are against the teachings of Islam, because Islam completely forbids all these.

Based on the Islamic Quran and Hadiths:

a. The Muslims cannot question the orders in the Quran.
b. The Muslims cannot question the actions of their prophet.
c. The Muslims cannot study any scriptures outside Islam.
d. The Muslims cannot leave their religion.

There are many Quranic verses and Hadiths which very clearly prove all the above, here are just a few of them:

“..Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah’s Messenger… Truly such a thing is in Allah’s sight an enormity.” (Quran 33:53)

“Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.” [Quran 5:102]

Bukhari (52:260) – “…The Prophet said, ‘If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.’ “

Bukhari (84:57) – “[In the words of] Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.’”

With regards to freedom of religion, the Muslims want to practice their religion freely everywhere in the world, but they will NOT allow others the same right. There are more than 40 countries where the Muslims do NOT allow the non-Muslims to exist. The non-Muslims cannot practice their religion freely. If one is not allowed to practice his/her religion freely, this basically means he/she is not allowed to exist.

Christianity and Sanatan-Dharma do allow freedom of thought, speech, the ability to question anything, and freedom of religion for all people of all religions.

In the below verse from the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna is very clearly stating that one should always question everything , and search for the truth. Thus promoting freedom of thought, speech, and questioning.

“..Philosophical search for the Absolute Truth-all these I thus declare to be knowledge, and what is contrary to these is ignorance.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 13.12)

In the below verse, Lord Krishna is telling Arjuna (and us), that he is free to believe and follow Him, if he wishes. There is no cursing or force.

“Thus I have explained to you knowledge still more confidential. Deliberate on this fully, and then do what you wish to do.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 18.63)

14. Belief in eternal suffering

If you believe people should not be placed on a fire to burn and suffer eternally, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because both these religions advocate eternal suffering.

“And whosoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), then verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers a blazing Fire.” (Quran 48.13)

“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25.46)

15. Belief in stoning people to death

If you believe that people should not be stoned to death, then you are not in agreement with the teachings of Christianity and Islam, because both these religions advocate stoning people to death.

“Then Allah’s Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) pronounced judgment about her and her clothes were tied around her and then he commanded and she was stoned to death.” (Sahih Muslim 1696a)

“You shall stone him to death with stones, because he has sought to draw you away from Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” (Deuteronomy 13.10)
