Questions on God Everyone Must Ask Themselves
- Can God be Jealous?
We are jealous of others because they have things that we don’t have and would wish to have.
God is complete, He has everything and He is the supplier of everything and thus God can never be jealous. Only a man concocted God would be jealous, because it’s an imaginary God based on man’s mentality.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, NEVER says He is jealous.
2. Would God order women and children to be taken captive?
It is against international laws created by humans to take women and children captive, in war or outside of war.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, NEVER orders women and children to be taken captive. In the Mahabharat war, when Lord Krishna was personally present, not a single person was taken captive.
3. Would God order women and daughters to be made into sex slaves?
It is against international laws created by humans to make females into sex slaves, in war or outside of war.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, NEVER orders females to be made into sex slaves. In the Mahabharat war, when Lord Krishna was personally present, not a single female was raped or made into a sex slave.
4. Would God order men and women to be enslaved?
It is against international laws created by humans to make humans into slaves.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, NEVER orders women and men to be enslaved.
5. Is God desperate to be known?
Some people are desperate to be famous, or want others to think of them as the best. This is because they are not in control. God is never desperate, because He is in full control. If God wanted everyone to know Him, He would reveal Himself to everyone and not just one person or a few.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, is NEVER desperate and He does not make any desperate statements.
6. Is God testing us?
Why would God play hide and seek and punish those who fail to find Him?
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, is omniscient. He knows the past, present, and the future. He does not play hide and seek with our lives.
“O Arjuna, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, I know everything that has happened in the past, all that is happening in the present, and all things that are yet to come. I also know all living entities; but Me no one knows.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 7.26)
7. Does God select His representatives?
God empowers the most righteous humans to become His Gurus. He does not select ruthless, lusty, and materialistic people.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, selects the most pious humans to become His Gurus.
“The symptoms of a sadhu are that he is tolerant, merciful and friendly to all living entities. He has no enemies, he is peaceful, he abides by the scriptures, and all his characteristics are sublime.” (Lord Krishna, Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.25.21)
“A sober person who can tolerate the urge to speak, the mind’s demands, the actions of anger and the urges of the tongue, belly and genitals is qualified to make disciples all over the world.” (Nectar of Instruction, text 1)
8. Does God makes contradictory statements?
God is omniscient and absolute. He knows what He stated in the past. God does not over turn His previous decisions or change His mind.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, does not change His mind on His previous instructions.
9. God is the most responsible person?
Childish people will make foolish statements like “I will destroy you if you don’t accept me”, “I will send you to hell”, “I will burn you”, “follow me or else”, “fear me”, “I will terrorize you” and so on..
God does not make childish statements, because He is most responsible and in full composure at all times.
The God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, NEVER makes any childish statements. There are no statements like the above ones in the Bhagavad-Gita.
10. God is the best communicator?
Some humans are very good communicators. Why should God lack good communication skills?
Only the God of the Bhagavad-Gita, Lord Krishna, very clearly declares Himself as God without any doubt.
“The whole cosmic order is under Me. Under My will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under My will it is annihilated at the end.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 9.8)
“I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.8)
“Furthermore, O Arjuna, I am the generating seed of all existences. There is no being – moving or nonmoving – that can exist without Me.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 10.39)
“Even though over a period of time I might count all the atoms of the universe, I could not count all of My opulences which I manifest within innumerable universes.” (Lord Krishna, Srimad-Bhagavatam 11.16.39)
“Because I am transcendental, beyond both the fallible and the infallible, and because I am the greatest, I am celebrated both in the world and in the Vedas as that Supreme Person.” (Lord Krishna, Bhagavad-Gita 15.18)
There are no statements like the above made by any other applicant for the position of God. Also, these were made more than 5000 years ago, long before any other applicant.
11. Does God prove Himself?
If someone claims to be the best cricketer, one will immediately look up his records of competing with others and then accept him as the best only if there is solid performance record. In a similar way, one should not accept anyone so cheaply as God just because they claim to be God, without seeing solid evidences.
So far only Lord Krishna has proved Himself as God without any doubt. All other competitors have yet to show up and prove themselves.
12. Does God give post dated checks?
Who would work for a company that may pay at an unknown time in the future?
What good is the police if they come to a crime scene and then leave saying they will come back at a later date to stop the crime?
What good is the military if the terrorists are terrorizing people and the military come and say, we will come back later on to deal with the terrorists?
When Lord Krishna appeared, He saved His pure devotees on the spot in their current life. He saved Arjuna and his 4 other brothers despite so many attempts on their lives. He saved Prahlad from so many attempts on his life. Lord Krishna has saved thousands of people on the spot.
